Finca El Cercado will be one of the seats of the XX Organ Academy Fray Joseph de Echevarria, held from 20 to 27 July<\/h1>\n

The practice lessons of the XX Academy will take place in the organs of the churches of San Millan in Baltan\u00e1s, and San Andr\u00e9s, Carri\u00f3n de los Condes (in Palencia), while the theoretical classes will be held in the Events Pavilion of Finca El Cercado.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Fray Joseph de Echevarria Organ Academy is one of the most important programs developed in Palencia every summer, bringing students together from different countries and professors of international relevance<\/h3>\n

Montserrat Torrent, one of the most important and famous organists in the world, will be one of the professors and will be honored by the students and teachers of the Academy on its 90th anniversary.<\/h3>\n

Finca El Cercado will be one of the seats of the XX Fray Joseph de Echevarr\u00eda Organ Academy<\/a><\/strong>, held from 20 to 27 of July. For the first time, this important musical and educational appointment transfers part of its classes to the south of the district of Palencia: some of the practice lessons will take place in the organ of the San Mill\u00e1n church in Baltan\u00e1s, and the theoretical ones will be hold in the Events Pavilion of Finca El Cercado, located in the same city. Other venue of the Organ Academy’s classes is in San Andr\u00e9s church, Carri\u00f3n de los Condes.<\/p>\n

The XX Fray Joseph de\u00a0Echevarr\u00eda\u00a0Organ Academy<\/strong><\/p>\n

The\u00a0Fray Joseph de\u00a0Echevarr\u00eda\u00a0Organ Academy, organized by the Association of Friends of the Organ of Palencia,\u00a0sponsored by the\u00a0Palencia\u00a0Provincial\u00a0Council and with the\u00a0collaboration of the Finca El Cercado,\u00a0is\u00a0one of the formative\u00a0and music\u00a0events more important\u00a0of the\u00a0province\u00a0of Palencia,\u00a0for the quality of its programming and\u00a0the\u00a0relevance of their\u00a0professors.<\/p>\n

Montserrat Torrent, one of the most important organists in the world, will be one of the main\u00a0professors\u00a0of this edition, which also will\u00a0<\/strong>be\u00a0receive the tribute of students and teachers on their 90th anniversary. Along with Roberto Fresco, director of the Academy, Torrent\u00a0will deal\u00a0the interpretation of Renaissance and Baroque composers, like\u00a0Antonio de\u00a0Cabez\u00f3n, Antonio\u00a0Carreira\u00a0and Manuel\u00a0Rodrigues\u00a0Coelho.<\/p>\n

The lessons led by\u00a0Paolo\u00a0Crivellaro\u00a0will\u00a0tackle\u00a0the North German organ school and the young Bach;\u00a0and\u00a0Monica\u00a0Melcova\u00a0will\u00a0teach improvisation techniques. Finally, Marta Serna\u00a0will offer theoretical classes\u00a0of\u00a0Organizative\u00a0principles of the 17th century keyboard music structures\u00a0through\u00a0practice music discourses of Correa de\u00a0Arauxo<\/p>\n

Professors and other guest organists will offer concerts in the most important organs of the province of Palencia during the week of the course, which will close with the traditional students’ concert on July 27th at the Church of San Andr\u00e9s in Carri\u00f3n de los Condes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
