The religious foundation of ‘Las Edades del Hombre’ organize an annual exhibition of Art and Heritage that attracts the interest of millions of people. Every year, that foundation choose a historical place in Castile and Leon that will become the most spectacular travelling museum of sacred art and heritage.
The beautiful city of Toro, in Zamora, will host the XXI edition, to be held from May to November 2016. An event that is much more than an exhibition: it is the greatest work of restoration, conservation and disclosure of Spanish artistic heritage and mainly of Castile and Leon.

‘AQVA’ is the evocative title of this edition of Las Edades del Hombre, which choose water as the leitmotif of the exhibition, a symbol full of religiosity from a biblical, anthropological, ecclesiological and sacramental point of view.
In this edition of Las Edades del Hombre will be present the legacy of historical authors as Pedro Berruguete, Francisco de Zurbarán, Juan de Juni, Gregorio Fernandez and Luis Salvador Carmona, and also will be contemporary artists such as Antonio López and Carmen Laffon.

The locations chosen by the foundation of Las Edades del Hombre offer the exhibition ‘AQVA’ could not be more interesting from a tourist point of view: the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria la Mayor of Toro, with a wonderful Portico of Majesty, of a Gothic style and with the original color preserved; and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, Romanesque-Mud jar and built by the order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher in the XIII century.
