# 7 – Route ‘Roman Villas and Canal de Castilla’
This trip combines the architectural jewels of the Roman era, such as the Villa La Tejada in Quintanilla de la Cueza and especially the Villa La Olmeda in Pedrosa de La Vega; with the great work of civil architecture of the Eighteenth Century that cross Palencia from North to South: the Canal de Castilla. We will start the route in Alar del Rey and continue in Herrera de Pisuerga, where it is possible to navigate a stretch of the Canal in the boat ‘Marqués de la Ensenada’. The route ends visiting the two Roman Villas and the town of Saldaña, where is the Museum of San Pedro, that shows pieces found in the excavation of La Olmeda.

# 8 – Route ‘Castles and Cathedrals’
The latest proposal is a monumental trip to the past of this place of Castile an Leon (Spain). We will start in Ampudia, a village of delightful streets dominated by its castle, one of the best preserved in Palencia, and its church of San Miguel. Then, we’ll go to Fuentes de Valdepero to visit the newly restored Castle of Sarmiento; and Astudillo, whose monumental town can be admired from the Castle of the Mota. We will make two special stops: Támara de Campos, to visit the church of San Hipólito The Royal, a whole cathedral erected on the plain; and Santoyo, with the exquisite gothic church of San Juan Bautista. A note for music lovers: even in these temples can be admired and listened two of the best baroque organs of our land.
